Position Title: Product Owner-MSE
Reports to: Head of Sales, Channels & Distribution & CEO
Location: Eswatini – Mbabane
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration/ Economics or similar field.
• Master’s Degree would serve as an added advantage.
Experience
• At least 7 years’ experience in a high ranking Sales and Product Management position, with at least 3 years’ experience in a managerial position.
• Experience in driving products initiatives end-to-end; from planning to post-rollout management.
Knowledge
• Strong understanding of customer insights and analytics
• Understanding product and customer lifecycle and management.
• Strong business acumen and the management of micro business loans.
Skills
• Excellent creative and strategic problem solving skills (i.e. problem definition & structuring, analysis definition, insight generation & recommendation generation)
• Excellent communication skills especially with top management and other stakeholders
• Ability to drive the execution of new products, from inception to implementation
• Ability to meet targets - Highly motivated self-starter who can operate well with minimal supervision
. Timely Resolution of queries/complaints
. Drive Product Sales and Net Pay-outs.
Main Purpose of the Job
To drive the business development and implementation of MSE sales plans through traditional and digital channels.
Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
. Implement the country's MSE sales and distribution strategy and execution to drive product profitability.
. Ensure that MSE loans approved to meet all policies and procedures and adhere to the terms of the company's credit policy.
. Manage workflow on the processing of MSE loans.
. Identify MSE business growth opportunities and deliver through the design of the most cost-effective delivery channel appropriate to the respective segment.
. Collaborate with the Product and Marketing Department to develop appropriate marketing strategies and objectives for marketing MSE products.
. Implement appropriate models, procedures and processes for MSE products
. Oversee MSE product life cycle management, including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field.
. Research MSE market trends and advise management where necessary.
. Conduct a weekly and monthly review of the loans paid to customers and advise management on the progress of recovery and collection of the same.
. Prepare monthly reports on portfolio health and advice the Head of Credit & Risk and CEO on loan performance.
. Providing advice on, promoting, selling, and structuring financial solutions customised to best meet the financial needs of Micro & Small Enterprise customers.
. Selling includes acquiring and opening new business accounts on a face-to-face basis, as well as cross-selling additional value-added solutions to the existing portfolio to assist clients in growing their businesses
