Welcome to Letshego National Pillars Scholarship

Letshego National Pillars Scholarship is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities to pan African nationals residing in Africa. Through the scholarship program, Letshego offers a range of scholarships to assist individuals wishing to study in the pan African tertiary education sector.

At Letshego we believe that the private sector should play a role in creating an enabling environment that embraces education and excellence in order to cultivate skills necessary for economic, social
and cultural development in Africa and to develop an educated and skilled workforce that can benefit the wider community.

As such we have put in place through our CSR program, an educational sponsorship, which will underlie the Group’s belief that investing in a child’s education reduces poverty and expands families’ economic opportunities; as such giving a child the chance to build a better future for themselves is the best way to give back to the communities that have helped our businesses to grow and be sustainable.

We believe an educated child tends to invest their earnings in their family’s well-being which reduces poverty for the next generation and the nation at large. Our aim is to promote knowledge, education links and prevailing ties amongst African countries through Letshego’s extensive scholarship program.

Letshego scholarship consists of two streams:

  • An undergraduate stream that targets the brightest, innovative and enterprising students who have just completed their high school.
  • Masters Stream which aims to support excelling master’s students and develop their capacity and leadership skills.

Letshego have in the past drawn from many talented executives from amongst the ranks of Africa’s best Universities’ graduates and the provision of graduate and post-graduate scholarships to the current generation of deserving students in the communities in which we operate is our way of saying 'thank you' for some of the benefits we have enjoyed.

Eligible Areas of Study:

  • Finance related degrees
  • Accounting
  • Computer Sciences
  • Economics
  • Other Business related courses

Sponsorship Requirements:

  • A minimum of 42 points BGSC, IGCSE ( This is for both undergraduates and post graduates)
  • First Class in First Degree for Master’s Program  
  • Certified copies of omang, academic certificates and transcripts.
  • Aged not more than 25 years
  • 2 School original references  
  • A 500 word composition telling Letshego why you deserve the sponsorship
