- Poelo is a seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of experience across financial services and multinational investment groups, having held senior finance roles at both group and subsidiary level within Letshego over more than a decade.

Poelo has served as Regional Chief Financial Officer for Letshego's West Africa operations, where she led capital-raising initiatives across listed bond markets, development finance institutions and commercial banks, and provided financial governance oversight for a portfolio spanning fintech and mobile lending platforms.
- She was recognised as Chief Financial Officer of the Year 2024 in the Non-Bank Financial Institution sector in Ghana and was nominated to the Finance & Audit Committee of the Ghana Association of Savings and Loans.
- Poelo's earlier career includes senior roles at Botswana Development Corporation and Ernst & Young, with broad exposure to audit, investment oversight and governance. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Botswana, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), and completed the Senior Leadership Development Programme at Gordon Institute of Business Science in 2024.
