Introduction
1.To support the Group Credit Risk to develop policies, procedures and limits for impairment provisioning, write-off and arrears management.

Specification
-To maintain and update Credit Risk RCA for the Group
-Maintain a tracker of all issues raised in Audits, Business Reviews and Regulatory Audits
-Ensure and coordinate closure of all Internal and Regulatory observations at least 45 days before the due date
-Support and develop in-country Collections and Recoveries strategies and performance assessment
-Formalization of all credit approval, monitoring, collections and arrears management activities for the Group, including: establishment of credit underwriting policy covering all lending activities
-establishment of the risk appetite and the development of a set of Key Risk Indicators to monitor and report risk levels against tolerance thresholds 
-development and implementation of specific credit policies by lending product and the related procedures and controls
-development and coordination of daily / weekly / monthly / and other periodic actions and related reporting 
-management of compliance with set policies and procedures 
-Supporting in-country credit teams so as to achieve in an efficient and coordinated manner the following: 
-develop monthly reporting templates that provide insights on the credit department activities and compliance to set policies and procedures
-monitor and reporting on the in country collections status
-review and reporting on the in country management of arrears and on compliance with technical and administrative arrears 
-Investigate, analyse and making recommendations for write-offs.
-advise on best practice on the collections and tracing procedures
-review and making recommendations on the in country control and management of the debtor’s book and cash flow through collections and payouts
-review to ensure the appropriate procedures have been followed regarding all provisions and write-offs 
-Review and report on the management and control of aging accounts and bad debts collection actions that will ensure economic recovery and minimization of losses

 
   
Requirements
1.A degree in finance / Information Systems /Economics or similar
2.Possession of clear thought and expression, both verbal and written, together with the ability to mix and converse freely with all levels of management. 
3.The Job Holder should be able to identify and assist with strategies to maximise benefit from opportunities that arise to give some input to upside benefits to the business.
