Position Requirements

Education

  • University degree in Marketing / Communication / Business Administration or relevant field
  • MBA or similar level Post graduation qualification would be an added advantage

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing/sales/ advertising field, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Solid experience in brand marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, and event marketing.
  • Experience working in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and getting things done at high quality.
  • Proven use of web and associated technologies in driving traffic and sales in a digital  environment

 

Certifications

Membership of a recognised professional marketing association or equivalent

Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of marketing and the various functional aspects of a marketing organisation including brand management, strategic planning, media, production, merchandising, creative development, and research.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of routes to market (direct, channel, and strategic partner sales)
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis, demand generation, modelling budgets, pipeline, forecast and ROI analysis
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics, Google AdWords, SEO tools and CRM tools
  • Good understanding of fintech, technologies
  • Strong knowledge in multi-channel management, preferably with e-commerce experience
  • Good understanding of web technology
  • A deep understanding of global creative market dynamics, cultural nuances, and user needs to market Letshego to a wide range of audiences.

Main Purpose (Why does the job exist)

 

To develop the long-range strategic roadmap that aligns Letshego’s marketing and branding initiatives with the objective to drive customer acquisition and create customer-centric experiences that contribute to the achievement of business objectives.

 

Critical Deliverables /Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the overall brand strategy to ensure consistent brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints in our internal and external communities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and innovation.
  • Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Ideate a comprehensive GTM strategy in close partnership with cross-functional teams and translate it into actionable marketing plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends, and use these insights to refine marketing strategies.
  • Analyze market data, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum impact.
  • Oversee the conceptualization, development, and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, traditional media, etc.).
  • Analyse campaign performance and metrics to optimize future initiatives and ROI
  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including SEO, content marketing, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Monitor and manage the brand's online reputation and engagement on social media platforms and other digital channels.
  • Stay updated with digital marketing trends and emerging technologies to keep the brand's online presence relevant and effective.
  • Manage public relations efforts to maintain positive relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
