Introduction
To manage the Group’s tax portfolio both from strategic (i.e. governance, policy, risk management and planning) and compliance (i.e. tax compliance and tax accounting/reporting) perspective, including acting as an adviser on all aspects of the group’s tax position

Specification
7.1.Responsible and accountable for all aspects of domestic and global tax strategies, including tax compliance, reporting, audit and controversy.
7.2.Develops comprehensive tax solutions and tactical plans in support of the group's business strategy
7.3.Ensures that the transfer pricing documentation reports are filed and defensible to address future tax audits.
7.4.Monitors Group’s consolidated tax positions and strategies to keep the Group's consolidated tax position at the optimum level.
7.5.Provides internal tax advisory and support to internal stakeholders on various matters such as new products launching, M&A, new business line on a promptly basis.
7.6.Represents the company in liaising with tax authorities and attending to tax controversy issues raised by the tax authorities.
7.7.Conducts tax evaluation of major strategic, once-off or capital and corporate transactions as well as people related contracts.
7.8.Drives the development and implementation of the Group’s tax risk framework and processes
7.9.Advises the business on various local and international tax implications that impact on their operations
7.10.Oversees the administration and compliance of the Group’s Value-Added Tax, PAYE and other relevant tax legislation.
7.11. Implements changes in tax legislation and court interpretations and reports any implications for the organisation’s activities or tax matters in general.
   
Requirements
•Professional qualification – ACCA/CIMA/CA
•Qualification in Taxation would be an added advantage
•At least 15 years of working experience with a combination of professional working experience in a tax environment and currently holding a senior regional tax role
•Extensive experience in dealing with tax authorities and regulators on tax audits (field and desk audit)
•Exposure to international taxation
•Experience in Tax from different n African countries
