Introduction
To be responsible for developing the Strategy of Technical Services, Development of and alignment to SLA delivery of Services by 3rd Party partners and Service Providers, Ensuring delivery of Project demands, and ensuring maximum uptime and performance metrics of the Groups Core IT Delivery and Support systems.

Specification
1.To investigate and advise improvements, savings and efficiency within the Technology Services environment. 
2.To ensure that the IT Technology is appropriately sized, operating within defined parameters, patched and secured to meet the Business demands of the Group
3.To ensure that people workloads are adequately balanced based on capacity and competence levels of subordinate staff members
4.To align Configuration and Operational Infrastructure and Security to Industry Best Practices and Frameworks associated with Operational Efficiency, Infrastructure Security and Information Security standards
5.To ensure that the Group IT Assets are protected sufficiently against Internal and External Cyber Attacks
6.To ensure that the Group’s Technology and Digitised Business processes are automated for efficiency and reduction of risk
7.To ensure that the Group’s various Databases are optimized for efficiency and risk mitigation and that these are replicated for Disaster Recovery and High Availability purposes.

Key Accountabilities:
1.Ensure Documentation exists for all Infrastructure deployments, Information Security Technologies, and couple these to Business Solutions that are supported across these technologies
2.Ensure that Technology Services are aligned to Industry developments and opportunities associated with lower risk, higher efficiency or cost optimisation
3.Although the Role is a Management level role, there is an expectation that this role needs to able to provide the Technical Assistance to the IT Technical Teams
4.Expected to own all Business and Internal IT projects as applicable to Technology Service Delivery, ensuring sufficient Capacity Planning is provisioned and that upgrades are implemented well ahead of Business requirements to mitigate impacting Business 
5.Expected to be engaged in development, maintenance and monitoring SLA’s for all Technology Service Delivery through Partners and 3rd Party Service Providers
6.Ensure that adequate Infrastructure Planning for Disaster Recovery and BCP is in place, and that these plans are routinely tested and validated to determine areas of efficiency to improve RTO and RPO capabilities.
7.Travel to different countries subsidiaries should be anticipated on a demand basis
8.Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, with respect to Technology performance, availability and future Capacity planning
9.Research and plan the installation and upgrade of IT Infrastructure to minimize Business impact, and communicate early where such impact is unavoidable
10.Conduct research on Technology upgrades/changes to determine compatibility with current system, and develop processes of testing and validating such compatibility 
11.Continuously ensure that monitoring of Technology incidents and problems to ensure proactive problem resolution and improve general stability of Technology Service Delivery
12.Ensure that the Information Security Policies, Processes and Procedures adequately address the threats to the Group through IT Technology and its associated Customer touch points
13.Work with Banking Operations teams and IT Applications to determine areas of System Automation for efficiency, control and risk mitigation with intent to improve overall Service delivery
14.Ensure that all Databases are optimized for purpose and that sufficient Capacity Planning is performed in respect to Performance and Capacity of these Databases
15.Ensure that all Databases are appropriately backed up and are replicated to identified Disaster Recovery sites as specified in the DR Plan

Project execution:
1.Lead Technology Services requirements to ensure that Projects and initiatives are completed within agreed timelines and budget.
2.Align with Group & Vendor Project Managers and staff to ensure that resource planning, prioritisation of activities and commitments to project delivery are aligned and subordinates understand their roles and accountability 
3.Provide guidance to Technical teams in all departments to assist in delivery of project related tasks.
4.Establishes a strong working relationship with Business Leads, Project Managers, project team members and Vendors to ensure successful delivery of project objectives 

Risk, Governance & Compliance:
1.Adheres to strict governance policy and procedures when executing job responsibilities and accountabilities are met, Internal Control Frameworks, Access Control is implemented to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and or where agreed mitigating controls are in place.
2.Understands and comply with all Group policy and procedures and ensure that these adhere to the highest level of controls.
3.Address control weaknesses and/or audit queries promptly and close all items before the designated closure date.
4.Set and monitor access standards and rights to drive segregation and or risk based control and ensure access is reviewed and updated in accordance with Access policy.
5.Create Technology Policies and procedures that are aligned to; Group policies and procedures, Business policies and procedures, and Regional and Country Regulatory requirements as applicable.
 
   
Requirements
1.A firm understanding of Networking technology and associated routing protocol
2.A firm understand of Server, Storage and Network Virtualisation as well as Server operating systems
3.IT Security Skills – key elements such as Firewalling, Encryption, Access Management and Authorisation levels 
4.Understanding of Voice and Call Centre Technology and interoperation 
5.Cloud technology – planning of cloud transitioning, running and optimizing a cloud service for performance and cost
6.Understanding of ISO27001 and PCI-DSS security frameworks for implementation of Information Security Controls and Cyber Security prevention
7.Analytical skills to assess and develop Automation of Technology and Business processes
8.Cost Management and Financial Management for the planning and adherence to IT Budget
9.Minimum of 10 years overall Technology experience with an expected minimum of 5 years exposure/experience in each of the above areas is required
10.A degree or post graduate degree is essential – with key focus of the degree being on IT
