A job vacancy has arisen within the People Experience Department of Letshego Bank Namibia for the above-mentioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
 
Purpose of the Job
To prepare, coordinate and evaluate learning and development programs for staff, which will enable them to meet business objectives and build future capability in Letshego. To facilitate and optimise Learning and Development session on process products, systems and technology to improve the knowledge, skills and performance of employees thereby enhancing the overall performance of the business. Ultimately, the incumbent will ensure the work environment helps employees develop their skills and fosters career advancement and deliver a wide range of Learning and Development administrative services, and advice in relation to the application of Letshego Learning and Development framework.
 
Key Accountabilities
 
1. Deliver and execute on the Learning and Development objectives.
2. Effectively identify Learning & Development needs and deliver on the L&D strategy
3. Discuss employee career-path opportunities with managers
4. Support management and staff to obtain high levels of skilled employees.
5. Develop and Implement the annual Employee Engagement initiatives.
6. Through research and sourcing, ensure that L&D material is outcome-based and aligned with the relevant objectives of Letshego Bank.
7. Manage and facilitate internal Talent Management process.
8. Contribute to the achievement of the company EE Training targets.
9. Measure effectiveness of the applied Learning &Development solutions.
10. Ensure new hires undertake mandatory business trainings.
11. Manages the training budget as per laid down procedures.
12. Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts the role
13. Evaluate learning effectiveness and timeously provide training reports.
14. Customize and embed the employee development component of the Letshego Bank Value Proposition.
 
Abilities Required of Job Holder
 
1. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal mediums
2. Facilitation, presentation and instructor skills
3. Emotional maturity with strong administrative and professional drive
4. Team player, meticulous and able to perform under pressure
5. Computer literate with strong administration skills
6. Knowledge of L&D regulations in Namibia
7. Change Management knowledge
8. A valid drivers’ licence
9. Willingness to travel
10. Namibian citizen
 
Minimum Job Requirements
1. Grade 12 (25 points) original certified
2. University degree in Human Resource Development from a recognized and well established University.
3. Certified trainer
4. Train the trainer/Assessor/Moderator qualification will be an added advantage. 5. Minimum 5 years previous experience as a Training Facilitator or in a Learning and Development role 6. Hands-on experience with Learning Management Software (LMS) 7. Knowledge of traditional and modern educational techniques 8. Ability to complete full Learning and development cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) 9. Familiarity with Talent Management and career paths
10. Be familiar with various educational techniques for different roles and skill sets.
