A job vacancy has arisen within the Operations Department of Letshego Bank Namibia for the above-mentioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
 
Purpose of the Job:
 
The Refunds clerk in the Refunds and Collections department is responsible to ensure that refunds due to customers are processed accurately and timeously in order to eliminate customer claims and provide feedback to client were it is required.
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
1. Enhancing Customer Experience
1. Ensure that daily refunds are prepared and sent payment advices for checks and approval to supervisor.
2. Daily investigate all refunds request to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
3. Assist the Finance Department with obtaining client correct bank details.
4. Review refund suspense accounts report for action.
5. Attend to telephone enquiries from clients.
 
 Operational Risk
 
1. Assist the collection department in identifying closed accounts with active deductions
2. Maintain weekly recons of the refunds suspense accounts as assigned.
 
Business Process Enhance / Process Innovation
 
1. Participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of business processes, moving towards ‘Automated processes’ (eForms, eReports)
 
 
Business Continuity Management
 
1. Understand and participate in the action plan implemented to meet the company Health and Safety strategies and action plans aimed at mitigating the health and safety risk within the organization.
5. People Management
1. Responsible for own personal development and ensure that a personal development plan are in place for this position.
2. Participate in annual performance reviews as per the agreed timeframes/deadlines.

Minimum Job Requirements:
 
1. Must have grade 12 with minimum 25 points
2. Must have at least one year work experience
3. Must be PC Literate
4. Must have excellent communication skills, attention to details and be able to multitask.
