Purpose of the Role:

  •  To drive the business development and implementation of sales plans through traditional and digital channels within the region.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Implement the country's sales and distribution strategy and execution to drive product profitability.
  • Develop and implement the Regional Strategic plans in line with the country objectives.
  • Provide regional report to the Head of Sales and the relative to financial activities based on strategic and operational plans.
  • Ensure all complaints for both internal and external customers from the region are resolved timely.
  • Analyses performance of the various product within the region to establish product’s success.
  • Drives usage of all digital products within the region.
  • Monitors performance of all the branches within the Region.
  • Make periodic branch visits to assess the branches operations


Thinking Requirements and Working Complexity:

  • Sales and financial targets as per KRA scorecard
  • Excellent creative and strategic problem solving skills (i.e. problem definition & structuring, analysis definition, insight generation & recommendation generation)
  • Excellent communication skills especially with top management and other stakeholders
  • Ability to drive the execution of new products, from inception to implementation


Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration/ Economics or similar field
  • MBA will be an added advantage
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a high ranking Sales and Product Management position,
  • Experience in driving products initiatives end-to-end; from planning to post-rollout management
  •  Strong understanding of customer insights and analytics
  • Strong understanding of product offerings and customer segments in banking and microfinance
  • Understanding product and customer lifecycle and management
