A job vacancy has arisen within the CEO Department of Letshego Bank Namibia for the above-mentioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
Purpose of the Job:
1. To acquire and manage the portfolio of corporate deposit (sustain and grow a portfolio of corporate/executive clients by building long term relationships).
2. Manage the top depositors in volume.
3. Identifying deposit/financing and transactional opportunities and investment/ deposit base.
4. Act as the primary link to the client for all Letshego Namibia Banking Solutions.
5. Maximizing risk-adjusted portfolio contribution.
6. Business development for both new and existing clients with a view to increasing penetration.
7. Facilitate the issuance of funding instruments (NCDs and other debt instruments) and mobilising interbank deposits
Key Accountabilities:
1. Expanding the Company’s transactional and other product. offerings (Deposits) to current and prospective customers through enhancements of product suitability.
2. Own the primary relationship with the client by being the client’s main contact point for all corporate banking needs and the bank’s primary channel to the customer.
3. Establishing, leveraging and maintaining strategic relationships with clients, interbank participants and top depositors in volume.
4. Assume primary responsibility for understanding the client’s business at a strategic, tactical and operational level.
5. Understand the local market and the segments within which a customer operates/ develop local sector expertise and networks + build competitor knowledge.
6. Create and maintain robust account plans for the clients.
7. Develop relationships at a senior level for corporate clients within the portfolio.
8. Attend client meetings and presentations where appropriate.
9. Target and develop new business with new customers.
10. Manage the deposit, sales and build relationships and networks with relationship managers within the Branches etc.
11. Ensure a unified vision, goals and objectives to align business effort towards a common goal through visionary leadership.
12. Provide direction and guidance towards achieving of strategy, goals and objectives.
13. Identify new representation opportunities and thereby ensure a proper cost effective distribution channel across the Country.
14. Driving engagements and partnerships with stakeholders and segment heads.
15. Identifying opportunities for cross selling and referral to other Company sales lines through developing and maintaining a broad understanding of customer needs.
16. Deal with and find solutions to customer complaints and queries.
17. Research, create and follow up on a target list for potential new business.
18. Control and quality of the portfolio, using available triggers and adherence to Risk management guidelines and policies.
19. Maintain, and grow the number of relationships in the corporate portfolio.
20. Maintain Account Plans for all clients in the portfolio such that contact with clients is prioritized.
21. Originate and close deals in the segment and solution client needs.
22. Manage the credit approval process and work with the Head of Credit to provide input into client lending applications.
23. Stay abreast of trends in the segment and translate these into client strategies and solutions.
24. Establish and maintain a high profile as an authoritative source of market intelligence in the segment.
25. Maximize cross sell of the relevant Group product set.
26. Maximize sustainable portfolio and individual customer earnings through sound customer pricing and to provide input into product pricing.
27. Manage live / active transactions by working in or coordinating teams to ensure objectives are met and the product / service / solution is of a high quality and is delivered.
28. Day to day coaching and development of branch customer relationship managers and corporate assistants.
Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
1) Grade 12 certificate, (25 points) original certified
2) Knowledge of banking channels, marketing conditions, the Namibian market and banking trends;
3) Minimum of 8 years’ experience, with at least 3 years in a management role in relationship management/ banking, operations, product development or sales. Exposure to treasury environment will be an advantage;
4) Strong Sales and Customer oriented and visionary leadership ability;
5) Ability to identify business growth opportunities and make informed decisions.
