AFI-PPD & G24 IMF Roundtable

On the 19th, AFI will be hosting the 9th Annual G-24/AFI Policymakers Roundtable on Financial Inclusion. As with last year, De-Risking will remain a key topic of discussion, however the agenda also includes a comprehensive session on how the G-24 can support the implementation of AFI’s Denarau Action Plan. AFI members currently scheduled to take part include; Bank of Tanzania’s Governor, and current AFI Board Chair, Benno Ndulu; Bank of Zambia Deputy Governor and Chair of the AFI Gender Committee, Dr. Tukiya Kankasa-Mabula, and BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr.

AFI’s Public Private Dialogue (PPD) platform will be holding a key session on 21 April, as leaders from private sector organizations, including Visa, Mastercard, GSMA and TransferTo, will meet with AFI members to discuss the progress and achievements of the PPD program and look to new financial inclusion trends and issues that would benefit from greater cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Also on 21 April, the 7th AFI Board of Directors Meeting will be held to review the progress of the organization in 2016 and look to finalize strategic and operational plans for 2017 and beyond.
