Position Title: Head of Sales, Channels & Marketing

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Eswatini - Mbabane

 

 

Main Purpose of the Job

• To drive the planning, development and implementation of all of the Country’s sales, products and marketing strategies and communications.

Education & Experience            

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalent.

• MBA or similar level Post graduation qualification would be an added advantage

• Minimum of 5 - 10 years successful experience in a marketing/sales function within the financial services/retail or banking.

• Atleast 3 years in senior management role.

Experience in working with and delivering results through various channels, including both face-to-face and electronic media interactions.

Critical Roles & Responsibilities   

• Ensure implementation and evaluate the success of comprehensive product management, marketing and communications programmes that will enhance the subsidiary’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public.

• Ensures the management of product development projects and Customer Service within the country.

• Coordinates the functions of product design, product maintenance, and product improvement, ensuring that the product resonates with the consumers and, therefore, boosting the product appeal to the consumers and increasing the consumer base and sales volume.

• Implement the strategies and policies approved by the Board, develop processes that adequately identify, measure, monitor and control Risks faced by the institution.

•  Develops the marketing strategy in line with country objectives.

•  Co-ordinates marketing campaigns and sales activities.

•  Manages Letshego’s brand management and corporate identity at country level.

•  Drives the implementation of new product launch and identifies potential strategic partner relationships with relevant stakeholders.

•  Ensures that total customer interactions and sales within the country are initiated and managed through digital channels per budget.

•  Drives improved customer experience, channel efficiency and effectiveness through a digital channel like “mobile app” to achieve “depth and spread” at the country level.

•  Prepares monthly reports on the performance of digital channels, the sales and marketing portfolio of the business.

 

Knowledge        

• Ability to work under pressure and multitasking

• Extensive knowledge in a variety of disciplines such as Marketing, Product Development, Sales, & Digital Marketing.

• Analytical, problem-solving and creative ability.

• Brand strategy, advertising and promotion, traditional and digital marketing.

• Good command of spoken and written English.

Skills    

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and interact on behalf of Executive Team with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

. Ability to mix and converse freely with all levels of management, including at Board level and both internal as well as external.

.  Ability to build relationships with the internal and external stakeholders.

.  Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

.  Excellent leadership and Organizational skills.

Highly computer literate in excel, word, power point etc.

. Good Presentation Skills.
