Main Purpose of the Job
Responsible to review effectiveness of controls to mitigate the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events through breaches in internal controls, fraud, unforeseen catastrophes’ or other operational problems.
Reporting into: Head: Internal Audit
Key Relationships:
1. Process owners within the business
2. Internal Audit team
 
Main responsibilities
1. To conduct detailed risk based audits on all operational, financial, and compliance areas of Letshego Holdings Namibia.
2. Deliver audit outcomes and deliverables in an effective and efficient manner.
3. To participate in establishing annual risk based audit plans.
4. To establish and maintain professional relationships with all the stakeholders of the audit function
5. To discuss audit findings with the process owners and agree on the recommendation of improvement.
6. To prepare preliminary written audit reports for each audit engagement.
7. Conduct quality assurance reviews on audit engagements by assessing compliance with standards and methodology.
8. Track and consolidate outstanding audit issues into monthly audit progress reports.
9. Demonstrate flexibility and takes responsibility for completing work plan
 
Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications
1. University degree in business, preferably in Accounting or Finance from a recognized University and part qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
 
Background/Experience:
2. Working experience of at least two years in an Internal Audit department, Professional Audit firm or in a financial Institution.
