A job vacancy has arisen within the IT department of Letshego Bank Namibia for the abovementioned position, the details of the role are outlined below:
 
Purpose of the Job:
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and IT operations of Letshego Bank Namibia. This comprises managing the IT department, which provides a host of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Services including but not limited to IT Procurement, Data Centre and Server hosting, Disaster Recovery, Internet and Email, IT security, Information Security, IT project management, Application Support, Network Monitoring Administration, IT License Management, Managed Services, IT Service Delivery through the Service Desk. The IT Manager will leverage the IT Infrastructure to ensure system availability to the internal system users for an enhanced user and customer experience. Additionally, this role will be responsible for vendor relationship management, Contract and Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management as well as driving benefit realization from Smart Partnerships within the ICT Space. The IT Manager will advise and provide assurance to LBN Management and Board on ICT related matters.
 
Key Accountabilities:
1) ICT Strategy Formulation, Implementation and Tracking (Planning and coordination of strategic processes within the IT department) and compile IT strategies and plans;
2) Alignment of ICT Strategy to Business Strategy
3) Compilation of IT budget in consultation with the COO, and the tracking of ICT Expenditure
4) Providing a stable, secure, highly available modern IT infrastructure, which is supported by skilled IT professionals;
5) Responsible for the staffing/resourcing of the department and the outsourcing of certain activities where need be,
6) Responsible for implementation of Information Security processes that are commensurate with the evolving ICT Information risks and the external environment.
7) Plan, Compile, Monitor and Evaluate IT Projects;
8) Plans and carries out IT related research (i.e. locally, regionally and or internationally);
9) Implements policies, monitors and control the application of the policies and ensure that policies are adhered to;
10) Liaises with relevant external parties and stakeholders for networking purposes and to promote the course of the division;
11) Ensures that the IT division and LBN complies with the relevant Regulatory requirements.
12) Responsible for the maintenance of an appropriate IT governance and reporting structure
13) Responsible for the maintenance of an appropriate change management process, procedure and policy environment.
14) Responsible for ICT Service Delivery Model, Internal SLA Management
15) Management of vendor/service provider service levels (Vendor SLA Management)
16) Weekly IT Initiatives, Project Updates and Service Desk reporting (statistics, trend analysis and improvement plans)
17) Monthly Executive Management reporting on the LBN ICT Environment.
18) Preparation of quarterly reports for input into the quarterly board meeting
19) Scanning the external environment and devising proactive plans to ensure the sustainable of the LBN ICT environment and the overall business model.
20) Shall represent LBN at the various industry forums and related projects.
21) Must support business systems / project implementations.
22) Must be available and willing to resolve internal users and customers with technical challenges
 
Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
1) Grade 12 (25 points), original certified
2) Relevant Bachelor degree or Tertiary qualification in information technology, or specialist qualification in IT infrastructure management ( MCSE or ITIL ICT Infrastructure Management Certificate)
3) COBIT (Cobit5 / Cobit2019) Certification
4) Exposure/Experience in implementation of the COBIT (Cobit5 / Cobit2019) processes will be an added advantage
5) COBIT (Cobit5 / Cobit2019) Certification
6) Exposure/Experience in implementation of the COBIT processes will be an added advantage
7) IT Service Management (ITIL) Certification an added advantage
8) Project Management Certification (Prince2, SCRUM, PMI) an added advantage
